Research

The proposed mobile platform for the low-cost indoor air quality sensor is the TurtleBot. However, this platform is very low vertically, therefore, data collected at this height may not be relevant to human comfort and the quality of breathing air. Therefore, there is a need to design an ap- propriate sensor base for the mobile platform that places the sensors in the relevant vertical zone. The challenge will be to design a lightweight platform that can support the electronics with min- imal vibration during typical movements of the Turtlebot. At the conclusion of the project, I should fabricate the final design and demonstrate adequate performance.
