Research
Palak's research interests lie in vision-based human-robot interaction for assistive applications, with a focus on systems that can read a person's posture and movement in real time and respond in ways that support people with limited mobility.
She previously completed a research internship at Miko (Mumbai), where she built a human-video-to-VLA (Vision-Language-Action) data pipeline — including AprilTag-based 6-DoF wrist tracking, a fix for planar pose ambiguity in fiducial marker tracking, and a full coordinate-transform-to-chunking pipeline for producing VLA training data
